Sweden and Poland are opponents of such different levels of skill and ambition that it is too naive and pointless to compare them. In their current squad, the home team is one of the main favourites for the 2024 World Cup, which they have already started to prove by defeating the powerful USA team the day before. The Red and Whites, on the other hand, are considered the main outsiders of the tournament, as they found themselves in the elite of world hockey for only the second time in the last three decades. Obviously, the Eagles' destiny in matches with such high-profile opponents is to watch star players and learn something, but nothing more.
