He won his first PGA Tour event, the 2018 John Deere Classic, by a score of eight strokes, which established a new scoring record for the tournament. Because of his fourth-place result in the PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit in 2015, he earned a spot on the Web.com Tour for the following year. Ryder achieved his maiden victory on the Web.com Tour at the Pinnacle Bank Championship in July of 2017, finishing 8 strokes clear of the competition. He earned a spot on the PGA Tour for the 2018 season by finishing in second place in the regular season rankings for the Web.com Tour in 2017. Ryder finished 2019 at number 107 in the standings, which was good enough to earn him a spot in the FedExCup Playoffs for the second consecutive year. At the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, he finished in third place, and at the Safeway Open, he tied for fourth place. In 2020, Ryder once again met the requirements to participate in the FedExCup Playoffs, doing so for the third time in his career, and he finished 108th in the standings.
