Viktor Hovland vs Scottie Scheffler Prediction: Scheffler is at the top of his game

On the final day of the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship, Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler will lock horns at TPC Southwind. The two golfers will have high hopes here, but Scottie Scheffler is way ahead. Can Hovland avoid a defeat in this one?

Viktor Hovland is a Norwegian professional golfer who plays on the PGA and European tours. At 11, Viktor Hovland started to play golf and won the Norwegian Amateur Golf Championship at age 16. In the meantime, Viktor Hovland has four amateur titles to his belt. 

However, since turning professional in 2019, Viktor Hovland has won ten times. On the PGA Tour, he won 6, coming in the BMW Championship, Tour Championship, and Mayakoba Golf Classic, among others. 

Scottie Scheffler is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour, and the world number one will confidently come into this one. Scottie Scheffler won four titles from 2011 to 2015 in his amateur years. In the meantime, his professional years have been wonderful as he has amassed 16 titles, with 12 coming in the PGA Tour. Heading into this game, Scottie Scheffler’s recent title was in the Travelers Championship in June 2023.

Scottie Scheffler has been a wonderful golfer over the years, and I expect him to step up. While Hovland will be confident of doing something better, taking on Scottie Scheffler will not be easy, considering his American experience and level. There is no doubt about Scottie Scheffler here, and I expect him to win.
