Nicholas Dunlap vs Adam Scott Prediction: Scott is expected to edge in this day-2 matchup

TPC River Highlands, Cromwell, Connecticut, will host the day-2 matchup between Nicholas Dunlap and Adam Scott in the Travelers Championship golf tournament. In this game, the chances of winning for both golfers are high. Who gets things right in this one?

2003 born Nicholas Dunlap is an American professional golfer who turned professional in January 2024. Over the years, Nicholas Dunlap has done well in his amateur years and will now look to step up in this tournament. During his amateur years, Nicholas Dunlap won three titles. In those tournaments, Nicholas Dunlap won the U.S. Junior Amateur, U.S. Amateur and the Linger Longer Invitational tournament. However, having turned professional in 2024, Nicholas Dunlap won the American Express tournament, defeating Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

Adam Scott is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Over his career, Adam Scott has won 32 professional titles, with 14 coming in the PGA.  However, three of his professional title wins were unofficial money events and major tournaments. 2014, from the middle of May to August, Adam Scott was named the world's number 1 golfer in the rankings. Looking at his achievements throughout his career, Adam Scott won the 2013 Masters Tournament, being the only Australian golfer to achieve this. He also won the 2004 Players Championship, the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship, Booz Allen Classic, Valero Texas Open, The Honda Classic and Genesis Invitational tournaments, among many others. 

Adam Scott and Nicholas Dunlap have a very high possibility of getting the win here, and it is tough to write either golfer off. However, I do trust Adam Scott here looking at how good he has been since turning professional. Regardless, we can expect tough competition from Nicholas Dunlap, but Adam Scott should be able to win by one shot, given his experience level and quality.
