Zambia vs Chad Prediction: The Zambians will capitalize on fairly experienced Chad side

The Chipolopolo of Zambia will host the Republic of Chad at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Friday. Zambia will be confident of securing one of the two spots on the standings following their win over Sierra Leone, and a win here would further strengthen their chances of making it to the next phase.

The hosts' three matches without a win ended when they fought tooth and nail to secure the maximum points against Sierra Leone. Their first victory was not smooth sailing as the guests scored twice while Zambia responded three times.

Chad have not had any success in continental football since they were founded in 1962. Chad made it to this group after eliminating Mauritius in the preliminary stage. The back-to-back wins over their opponent were their first since 2015. Chad hardly engages in friendly games, and they have lost four consecutive games in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers. 

Chad's last appearance in this tournament ended in a fourth-place finish, picking one point from a combined eighteen.

Zambia have struggled lately but head here with a (3-2) win over Sierra Leone. The Chipolopolo have been terrible at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet over their last twelve games in all competitions. At the same time, Chad have managed two wins since 2015, which was against a lowly-ranked Mauritius. They are not a football-playing nation, and we think Zambia will take advantage of their weak defense.

We anticipate a decent start from the hosts, and we think they might get a halftime victory here for 1.81. With the absence of Patson Daka of Leicester City, Kennedy Musonda is expected to lead the line, and we belive he'll to get a goal here.
