Wydad Casablanca vs RSB Berkane Prediction: The Red Castle will avoid defeat against the Orange Boys

The stage is set for one of the biggest derbies in the Moroccan league as Wydad Casablanca face off against RSB Berkane in what seems to be a must-win game at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium on Saturday. The hosts are in dire straits at the moment following their recent defeat against CODM Meknes on the road, and anything but the maximum points here might cost the coach his job.

The Red Castles have only performed well at home this season and have not replicated such a good run on the road. They have played four matches away from home and have lost twice while settling for two stalemates. The RSB Berkane have lost once and won three over their last four games on the road.  

Wydad Casablanca have won eight, while RSB Berkane recorded eight victories and four games ending in a draw over their last twenty meetings. Wydad Casablanca are still playing below their standard and they’ve been lucky with fixtures lately. They will face their first big test in the league this campaign against the best team on the road. RSB Berkane, on the other hand, have been at the top of their game, and they’ll be keen to stun their opponent here.

This is a fierce rivalry, and we think it won’t be cagey as Wydad Casablanca have failed to keep a clean sheet over their last five league games. It’s a must-win game for coach Rulani Mokwena, who has been told to deliver or lose his job. We are trusting the hosts to at least secure a point here but conceding a goal as well.
