The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not show their best soccer at the World Cup qualifying. Ivaylo Petev's players had a good chance to at least qualify for the playoffs, but in fact, they finished below Finland in the standings, scoring only seven points. The Bosnians then played three friendly matches, one of which was a winner (1-0 over Luxembourg) and two were losses – to the United States and Georgia (0-1 each). In the first round of this year's Nations League, Bosnia and Herzegovina went head-to-head with the Finns (1-1). 

Team Romania felt very confident in qualifying for the World Cup. This is due to their group being really simple; Germany, Northern Macedonia, Armenia, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. Of course, the first position was taken by the Germans, but the Macedonians took the second position, beating the Romanians by only one point. As for the performance of the Romania national team in the first round of the League of Nations, they lost to Montenegro with a score of 0-2. 

In our opinion, there is no favorite in this match. Both teams play on a quite equal level and they do not excel with the efficiency. As a result, we should not expect a lot of goals. The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina proved well on the road against Finland, while the team of Romania looked ambiguous in a match with Montenegro. In general, we believe that the home team will not lose in a low-scoring game.
