LASK vs Zrinjski Mostar Prediction: Betting on the Hosts' Confident Win

As bronze medal winners of the last Austrian championship, LASK received the right to start their European campaign right from the final round of the Europa League qualification. Until the first match against Zrinjski Mostar, the team from Linz had only played in the home league this season. In the Austrian Cup, LASK easily defeated the modest Rotis (6:0), but in the championship, they managed only one win in four rounds, scoring four goals. Also, since this season, their head coach is Thomas Sageder - a young specialist with no experience in working with big clubs.

As the country's champion, Zrinski Mostar started European competitions with the qualification for the Champions League. There, the Bosnians, with difficulty, passed the Armenian Urartu but fell to Slovan Bratislava. In the Europa League, Zrinski passed Breidablik in the previous round, beating the Icelandic champion 6:2 at home but losing 0:1 away.

Last weekend, the team of Croatian coach Krunoslav Rendulic started in the new national championship. Zrinjski defeated GOSK Gabela 3:1.   

Although Zrinski is the national champion, the team's class is still much lower than that of LASK, the third team from last season's Austrian championship. The Bosnian team has struggled against weaker opponents, such as Urartu and Slovan, and is likely to have little success on the road against the Austrian team. LASK has not been very successful in the national championship so far, but again, the level of resistance there is much more serious.
