Czech Republic U21 vs England U21 Prediction: The English have been showing a very high level of attacking play

At youth national team level, England has beaten the Czech Republic in their previous three head-to-head games. Will the first leg of the 2023 UEFA European Championship group stage match continue?

The Czech Republic made it to the final of the continental championships in a knockout round against Iceland. The team beat the Icelanders 2:1 on the road before drawing 0:0 on home soil. The youth UEFA European Championship will be the Czech Republic's ninth in history. The Czechs earned their best result in 2002 when they took the gold medals in a penalty shoot-out against France.

Today's youth squad includes almost entirely players from the local championship. That does not make the Czechs any less dangerous, though. Since then, England U21s' best achievements have been reaching the finals in the 2009 championship; and two semi-finals in 2007 and 2017.

England is regarded as the main favorite for UEFA Euro 2023, along with France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, which is hardly surprising. The English side has confidently qualified and beaten all the favorites above, except Spain, in friendlies ahead of the European Championships. It will take to the continental championships a very fit and experienced squad by the standards of youth football. They may have their weaknesses in defense, but they will make up for it in attacking performance.

The English side has shown a very high level of attacking play recently. In friendlies before the European Championship, the team netted four goals against the French, three against the Germans, and two against the Italians. England scored 26 in 10 games in qualifying, including five against the Czech Republic, who conceded six goals in the qualifying round. In general, it is clear that the Czech Republic is capable of quality defense, but England's class is simply much higher. Unless something extraordinary happens, or the English, for example, are careless, they will again disappoint the Czechs in the upcoming game.
