Lille vs Olimpija Prediction: Lille should have no trouble picking up all three points

In recent years, Lille was one of the two teams to dethrone PSG from their Ligue-1 crown. Unfortunately, they could not stay at the top of the standings, and their results gradually worsened, culminating in a fifth-place finish last season. Olimpija are Slovenia's seven-time champions, although only three of their titles were won in the 21st century, with the other four coming in the last century. That brought them a place in the Champions League, where they first beat Valmiera 2:1 and 2:1, then Ludogorets 1:1 and 2:1, before falling to Galatasaray 3:0 and 0:1. The Slovenians tried to at least qualify for the Europa League. They also failed to beat Karabakh, losing 2:0 and 1:1. Simultaneously, they are struggling in the national championship, where they are only second, two points behind Celje.

Lille and Olimpija are teams on entirely different levels. Paulo Fonseca's side is among the top teams in the French league, one of the top five in Europe, while Olimpija is at the top of the modest Slovenian league. Lille has also been in phenomenal form at home lately, winning their last eight matches. Lille should have no trouble picking up all three points in the upcoming game, confirming their class against an unremarkable opponent. 

Lille plays well at home and has not only beaten everyone in the past but has also consistently scored at least two goals. The only exception to this is their recent match against Montpellier, where Paulo Fonseca's team got only a 1:0 win.
