Tottenham vs Milan Prediction: Will the home side be able to pull themselves together?

Tottenham will host AC Milan at home in the return leg of the Champions League round of 16. The first meeting was tense and ended with a minimal advantage for Stefano Pioli's team. Will Antonio Conte's side be able to pull themselves together and delight their fans with a comeback?

In Italy, the Spurs were a little unlucky in the attack. The club failed to score against AC Milan. Since their visit to the San Siro, Tottenham has played four games. The Londoners dealt with their neighbors West Ham United and Chelsea in the Premier League 2:0. Two unsuccessful performances followed. Spurs suffered an away defeat to Sheffield United and were knocked out of the FA Cup. In the EPL, the club lost to Wolverhampton and let Liverpool down in the battle for fourth place; both meetings had a 0:1 result.

After beating Tottenham, Milan performed well in the next two rounds of Serie A. They beat Monza 1:0 away and then scored two unanswered goals against Atalanta. However, the Rossoneri head to the English capital with a poor performance - Milan lost to Fiorentina 1:2 last week. The reigning Italian champions are only in fifth place in the standings.

Both are far from their best form, but AC Milan is slowly coming around, except for their last Serie A fiasco against Fiorentina. The Spurs and the Rossoneri have some personnel problems, but the leaders of both teams are ready to play in the upcoming game. Milan will hold their minimum advantage and do it pretty tough. We do not rule out that Milan's streak with many warnings will extend in this game. Tottenham will not be easy to achieve the desired outcome, and we do not expect a lot of productive activity in this game. As for passing to the next playoffs stage, Milan looks like the more balanced team.
