Bologna vs Shakhtar Prediction: the Red and Blue will be closer to victory

Bologna was the discovery of last season in Serie A, but the current season the Red-Blue have not started in the best way. After 4 rounds played in the Italian league, Bologna have only three points: draws with Udinese, Empoli and Como and a defeat to Napoli 0:3. The results, to put it mildly, are not impressive, besides, for Bologna the Champions League is a new level, for which, it is not sure that the players of the team are ready. Bologna is only 17th in the Serie A standings, one point ahead of the relegation zone teams.

Shakhtar is not doing well in the UPL either, after five rounds of fixtures they have already suffered two defeats to Polissya 0:1 and Oleksandriya 3:4, with three wins over Vorskla, Left Bank and Karpaty Lviv. Shakhtar is inferior to Bologna in terms of squad, but superior in terms of experience and mentality. They have been playing in the Champions League group stage season after season, while for Bologna it is a new level, and we doubt that the Italians will go through the group stage confidently. We also note the fact that Shakhtar is used to playing away, and for the Ukrainians the pitch factor has long ceased to be a problem, given the circumstances. In this pairing we are on the guests' side, we believe that they will at least not lose in Italy. In general, we would not be surprised if the upcoming meeting ends in a draw, say, 1:1.
