Turkish boss Okan Buruk continues to take his team forward on the pitch despite some minor setbacks pushing them backward. A narrow 3-2 victory over Elfsborg in the midweek UEFA Europa League made it three matches unbeaten in the competitions league phase (W2, D1).

Prior to that, they defeated Antalyaspor 3-0 away from home, making it their second consecutive win in the league, having seen off the threat of Alanyaspor in a 1-0 victory beforehand. It's also worth noting that they are unbeaten in nine league matches this season (W8, D1), leaving them three points clear at the top.
