Tunisia vs Comoros Prediction: The Atlas Lions are the favourite here, even though the guests can’t be underestimated

On Friday, the Atlas Lions will play their third AFCON qualifier against Comoros at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi. Tunisia, who have picked up six points from a combined six, will strive to maintain their spot at the top of the podium against a winless visitors.

Following their decent run, the Atlas Lions moved three places up in the latest FIFA rankings. Tunisia showed resilience against Gambia after the initial scare at the break. Ali Abdi scored the opening goal while the hosts responded minutes later. Mohammed Ali Ben Romdhane then found the back of the net in the second half to retake the lead. Tunisia conceded a goal after 540 minutes of play against Gambia. Tunisia boasts of one of the best defences in the continent, but they have been ineffective in front of goal. 

Tunisia began their journey in this tournament with a slim (1-0) victory over Madagascar, as Ferjani Sassi came from the bench to rescue his side.

Stefano Cusin's men have lost just once over their previous ten games, a run their Italian tactician has inspired. Comoros are presently in second place on the group standings, picking up two points from a combined six. 

The Coelacanths have been in decent form lately, and after failing to qualify for AFCON 2023, they’ll do their best to make their mark this time. 

Tunisia have struggled in front of goal lately but have had solid defensive displays. The Atlas Lions are the favourite to secure the top spot in th group, while their guests will fight with Madagascar and Gambia for the second place. Both teams have not been bad so far in this tournament; however, Tunisia will likely secure all the points on their ground. 

Comoros will have to be at their best to find the back of the net and not talk about securing a point. I think this game won’t produce lots of goals since Comoros will be pleased with a stalemate here; bet on a home win and under 3.5 goals for 1.60.
