Simba FC vs Young Africans Prediction: The Kariakoo Derby won’t deprive us of goals

After two weeks of international break, the two Ligi Kuu Bara league heavyweights will square off at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Saturday. Simba SC have been firing from all cylinders since the start of this campaign, but they’ll face their biggest test against Young Africans who have been below par. Yanga Boys have scored eight goals in four games, heading here with four consecutive clean sheets. Young Africans were phenomenal last season as they successfully defended the Tanzania Ligi Kuu Bara title. 

Young Africans made some fantastic decisions by keeping their key players and bolstering the squad. However, they’ve not been at their best lately, especially in front of goal. 

This fixture has witnessed more stalemate than wins, as both sides have settled for a draw eight times. Yanga Boys have won eight times, while Simba have recorded four wins in the last twenty meetings. Yanga Boys have won three successive games against Simba SC, including their community shield clash at the beginning of the season. Simba SC are back on their feet and’ll be keen to avenge their poor displays against their arch-rival last season.
