KMC vs Azam Prediction: We anticipate an end-to-end encounter with goals at both ends

After failing in their attempt to win any of their last two games, Azam will fight with their last breath to flip the script when they face off against a well-organized Kinonedoni at the MC Complex tomorrow. The fixture has produced more goals over the years, and we are confident tomorrow’s game won’t deny us goals. 

The hosts picked up their first three points against Kengold since the season began. KMC, who scored from a corner kick, were wasteful against the newly promoted team, and we think they could have scored more than a goal on their home turf. The result came after their defeat against Singida Black Stars and the stalemate against Coastal Union. 

KMC were below par in 2024, which literally cost them a top-four finish. KMC will be keen to prove themselves against a well-organized team and a point here might prove valuable in the long run. 

Coach Rachid Taoussi has now gone two games without a breakthrough. It’s unlike Azam, who always gets off to a flying start every season. Under their new coach, Azam have scored just once in four games while conceding twice. More recently, they settled for a share of the spoils against newly promoted Pamba SC. The underwhelming performance came after their negative stalemate against JKT Tanzania. 

Rachid Taoussi's comrades, who wrapped up their season in second spot, had one of their best seasons in so many years. However, they didn’t take advantage of the opportunity, as APR knocked them out of the CAF Champions League qualifiers. 

Azam FC have convinced their best player, Feisal Salum, to stick with them and have acquired some foreign experience to help them retain the second spot. 

Azam have won seven, while KMC have won four and two games ending in a tie over their previous thirteen meetings. Azam FC were missing five senior players in their last two games and coach Rachid Taoussi has confirmed their availability. They’ve been below par this season but we expect a better performance from them against KMC, who have been one of the best teams in the division over the years.

Azam FC are still a top side and it’ll be unwise to bet against them, knowing fully well what they can do. We expect an open encounter here since KMC have failed to keep a clean sheet in this fixture over their last six meetings. 

We also expect to see at least a goal from the guests before the break for 1.88.

We anticipate more than two goals here for 2.32.
