Kinonedoni vs JKT Tanzania Prediction: Expect fewer goals here

On Friday, the Tanzania Ligi Kuu Bara resumes action as Kinonedoni square off with JKT Tanzania at the Uhuru Stadium. Both sides have had a similar start to the season; however, we expect a more exciting encounter here.

After they almost got relegated last season, KMC have had a poor start to the season: sharing the spoils once and losing a game. KMC kicked off their new season with a (1-1) share of the spoils against Namungo on the road. KMC drew the first blood after 68 minutes of play, but the home side leveled eighteen minutes later. The result was followed by a humiliating defeat against Young Africans, as the home side scored five times without a response from KMC.

Nothing has really changed about Kinondoni, and a defeat here could tamper with their team spirit.

Following their convincing (0-1) victory on the road against Namungo FC, where signing Martin Kigi scored the only goal that secured the maximum points, JKT succumbed to a (5-0) loss to Young Africans. The game, which saw JKT Tanzania hold on until the last seconds of the first half before conceding the first goal, came alive after the break when Yanga Boys found the back of the net four times.

The visitors won the championship last season after finishing fourth place in the previous campaign. JKT Tanzania scored sixty-three points from a possible eighty-four, scoring forty-eight while conceding nineteen times.

JKT Tanzania are new in the division after relegation in 2021, and it’ll be difficult for them to adapt quickly; however, we expect them to remain in the league.

Over their previous six meetings, KMC have won twice while JKT Tanzania have managed a win and three games ending in a stalemate. Five of their last six meetings have ended in a total of under 2.5 goals. KMC have not shown any signs of improvement since the start of the season, unlike their opponent, who have at least won once this season. Still, KMC will be desperate to prove a point after their shambolic performance against the champions; bet on a home win or draw and under 2.5 goals for 1.73.

Kinonedoni might have the experience, but we feel the visitors won’t concede easily; bet on a halftime draw for 1.89.
