Coastal Union vs Mashujaa Prediction: Expect another commanding performance from the home side

Coastal Union will be keen to take advantage of their decent record against Mashujaa FC when they face off at the KMC Complex on Friday. Both teams have had a good start to this campaign, but the hosts will hope to get a win on their ground.

Ngawina Ngawina men are undefeated over their previous seven league games. They began this campaign with a (1-1) stalemate on the road. After an error leading to a goal by their goalkeeper, Maulid Maabad saved the day after converting his penalty to salvage a point for his team on the road. 

Following their excellent performance last season, which gave them the license to play in the continental championship, Coastal Union were knocked out of the qualifying round against Bravos.

They got the better result against some top teams in the division last season, and they’ll be desperate to get off to a flier on their ground.

The guests have had a decent start to the season with a win and stalemate on their ground. More recently, they settled for a negative share of the spoils on their ground. 

The hosts, who survived relegation last season, began their journey with a slim (1-0) victory over Dodoma Jiji on their ground. Crispin Ngushi's goal looked like an offside goal; however, the referee declared the goal anyway. They had some other opportunities to kill off the game but were ineffective in front of goal. 

Mashujaa are expected to at least finish in the top half of the table this season after their decent signings in the transfer window. 

Coastal Union have won against Mashujaa twice in their previous two meetings. The hosts made some good signings during the transfer window, hoping they’ll remain in the continental championship. Coastal Union will be desperate to start strong on their ground after their stalemate away from home. At the same time, Mashujaa will be keen to extend their unbeaten run this season even though they were below par against Tanzania Prisons.

Coastal Union hardly concede on their ground and are not really good at converting their chances, but we think they’ll get all the points here for 1.98.

We expect to see less than a goal in both halves for 1.81.

Coastal Union might even get a goal before the break for 2.09.
