Stade Tunisien vs AS Gabès Prediction: We anticipate a strong performance from the hosts

On Sunday, Stade Tunisien will face off against AS Gabes in a must-win game at the Al Hadi Niver Stadium. The hosts will be hopeful of maintaining their four-game unbeaten run against weak opponent and must not take them for granted.

The newly promoted team suffered their first home defeat since 2022, conceding twice and scoring once against AS Soliman. AS Gabes, who scored in the 18th minute, felt relaxed, and their opponent took advantage of their weak defence to score twice. This was after their excellent performance against US Tataouine away from home. 

AS Gabes have picked up five points from a combined fifteen, scoring five and conceding six. They have won once and lost a game on the road this season.

In the last nine meetings, Stade Tunisien have won six and drawn three against AS Gabes. The hosts are the only team without a defeat in the league since April. Stade Tunisien have been firing from all cylinders lately and they’ll be keen to exert dominance over their guests here. Even though they’re the favourite, AS Gabes can’t be underestimated, especially after their losing on their ground lately. They’ll be poised to return to winning ways, and Stade Tunisien must tread carefully against them.

We expect the hosts to get a goal at least before the break since they have done that in three of their previous four matches.
