St. Mirren vs Hearts Prediction: Both teams continue to struggle

Paisley 2021 Stadium will host round 15 of the Scottish Premier League game between St. Mirren and Hearts. Heading into this game, the two teams have recently failed to secure a win. Which team will end that run here?

St. Mirren was held to a 2-2 draw the previous weekend by Kilmarnock, and in this game, they will see a better result. In that encounter, St. Mirren were up twice, with Toyosi Olusanya putting them in the lead in the 7th minute before Marley Watkins leveled the scores for Kilmarnock. However, Mark O’Hara’s strike before the break was strong enough to take them into the second half, but Jonah Ayunga's own goal denied them maximum points. Heading into this game, St. Mirren have failed to win any of their last five matches, drawing two and losing three. 

Hearts suffered a defeat in their last league game against Hearts in an encounter that ended 2-0. In that game, Hearts did well at halftime to hold their opponent to a goalless draw, but Arne Engels's strike from the spot and a Luke McCowan strike in the second half denied this team a point. In the meantime, looking at Hearts' recent matches shows that this team has lost each recent game. In the league this season, Hearts have just one point from a possible 15, leaving them seated at the bottom of the standings. 

Despite their poor recent plays, I expect both teams to give their all in this game. Hearts have been very good in the past years, but their performance has dropped significantly. On the other hand, despite recent consecutive draw performances, I still believe Hearts have the better chance in this game. Take the road team to win here, and while the two teams have been poor defensively, we can expect goals here, too.
