Celta vs Espanyol Prediction: Will the Galicians beat the Catalans?

The Vigo side did well last season, finishing 11th in the La Liga standings. They have been a truly unpleasant opponent for all the giants of Spanish football in many games. While Celta is stable and the team from Vigo continues their steady development, Espanyol has made significant changes in the off-season. First, Catalans, who took only 14th place in the last championship and conceded 53 goals, changed their head coach. Espanyol will now be led by Diego Martinez - the ex-coach of Osasuna and Granada. Benjamin Lecomte of Monaco will now play for the Catalans. In addition, Espanyol has strengthened their attacking options by signing good striker Joselu from Alaves and attacking midfielder Tonny Villena from Russian side Krasnodar.

The history of the relationship between coaches Coudet and Martinez is fascinating. The last time in Vigo, Coudet beat Martinez's Granada (3:1). Is it unlikely that Espanyol will have much chance of success in the upcoming match? The Catalans will have to get used to the demands of their new coach, while Celta continues to progress without making any significant changes in the off-season.
