Celta vs Elche Prediction: Will the visitors extend their losing streak?

Celta face Elche in the 31st round of La Liga. The visitors have a streak of five defeats in a row.

Celta is already struggling for next to nothing this season. They are only six points clear of the relegation zone, but there are plenty of other contenders. They have settled in 13th place in the standings with 36 points. Interestingly, the Sky clubs have lost two in a row after a seven-match unbeaten streak. And they did not even score - 0:1 against Mallorca and 0:2 against Real Madrid. Now, Selta have an excellent opportunity to rehabilitate themselves in front of their fans and win.

Elche has had a simply terrible campaign. The team has been in the Segunda for a long time and has now started to lose match after match. In the previous five rounds, Elche had five defeats with a score of 1:12. In the last 30 rounds, they have scored a measly 13 points. Also note the goal difference - 20:61. As for Elche's recent encounters, they lost first to Osasuna (1:2), then to Girona (0:2), and then to Valencia, also 0:2. In general, the team is just waiting for the end of the season and is preparing for relegation.

Things have been awful for Elche of late. The team is a shame on the pitch. Obviously, in the upcoming battle, the clear favorite is Celta, who are having a relatively good season and, after two defeats in a row, will try to improve. Plus, they'll have the fans in the Balaidos stands to help them out. Given that the visitors have learned to score at all, it is also worth considering a dry win for the home side. But as the main option, we suggest a win with a total under.
