In the match against Villarreal, Barça showed their potential and a winner in the game already in the first half, scoring three goals against the Submarine. It was an emphatic victory at Camp Nou, but in the same fixture, Real Madrid beat Elche away just as quickly, meaning that the three-point handicap between the two Spanish giants remains intact. We predict Athletic will have as much trouble on Sunday as Villarreal did on Thursday.

It did not seem long ago that Athletic could contend for a place in the Champions League this season.
