SCC Mohammedia vs AS FAR Rabat Prediction: The Black Army will get a halftime win here

On Wednesday, the Black Army will commence their campaign with a matchup against SCC Mohammedia at the El Bachir Stadium. Both teams will meet again in the opening game of the season on the same day as the previous campaign; after failing to retain the Botola Pro League title last season, AS FAR Rabat will try again this season under their new Poland coach, Czeslaw. 

The hosts, who were almost relegated last season, will begin this new campaign against the runner-up. SCC Mohammedia finished in 14th place with twenty five points from a possible ninety. 

SCC Mohammedia have struggled to live up to expectations in the Premier League and have not garnered more than thirty-five points since their promotion in 2020.

The Black Army were runners up in the Botola Pro League last season after a tug of war between Raja Casablanca, which saw them surrender to the champions. AS FAR Rabat lost three times in the entire campaign, scoring sixty-five times while conceding twenty-two goals. 

AS FAR Rabat have had a great start to the new campaign, knocking out Nigeria-based REMO Stars in the CAF Champions League qualifiers. The Black Army scored three goals in both matches to advance to the next phase.

Over their last eight games, AS FAR Rabat have won six and drawn twice. SCC Mohammedia head into this season without a notable signing after releasing some of their influential players last season. The fixture is a bit unfair to SCC Mohammedia, who are yet to engage in any competitive game since June, unlike the home side who head here with a (2-0) victory over Remo Stars in the CAF Champions League qualifier. A lot has changed about the guests over the summer, with a new coach and some fresh players. They are a top side who have competed for the league for two consecutive seasons, and we expect them to mainatian their standard in this campaign.
