At the World Cup, Saudi Arabia did not live up to expectations. After a victory over Argentina, the team was stopped from the competition after the group stage with losses to Mexico and Poland. The French coach left the national team after an unsuccessful Gulf Cup of Nations, where the Saudis lost to Oman and Iraq and two friendlies against Bolivia and Venezuela.

The match against Costa Rica will be Roberto Mancini's first game in charge of Saudi Arabia. It'll be interesting to see how her game changes and if the coach can make progress with the players.

Although the Saudis will win the game against Costa Rica - the Costa Ricans have many problems, no coach, and the leader of the national team's recent successes, Keylor Navas, ended his career in the national team. Most likely, the Saudis will not concede in the first game with Roberto Mancini.
