CSKA vs Spartak Moscow Prediction: Watching the Moscow Club not to Lose

CSKA is in fourth place in the RPL standings with 24 points. A win in the upcoming derby will allow the Army team to move up to the top 3, as Spartak is in third place, ahead of them by only one point. Lately, CSKA hasn't been playing their most compelling soccer. Thus, in the last three rounds of the Russian elite, it defeated Khimki with a difference of only one goal (2:1), tied with Dinamo Moscow (1:1), and suffered a surprising defeat from Torpedo (0:1). 

Guillermo Abascal's charges have serious plans for the upcoming central derby in Moscow. At the moment, they have five victories in a row, three of which within the RPL - 1:0 over Lokomotiv, 2:1 over Paris NN and 5:2 over Krylia Sovetov, and two smashing ones in the group stage of the Cup of Russia - 3:0 over Fakel and Zenit each. Spartak has no margin for error in the upcoming game because that would eliminate them from the top three. Recall that in the last Main Moscow derby, the Gladiators won with a score of 1:0. 

In the Main Moscow Derby, bookmakers are more inclined to see the home team win, which we don't entirely agree with. After their 0:1 loss to Torpedo, it's unclear what to expect from CSKA, especially against Spartak, who have won their last five games by a score of 14-3. In our opinion, the safest bet in this matchup is to play the second team for a very nice odds.
