Olympique Safi vs Ittihad Tanger Prediction: We think both teams will be pleased with a share of the spoils

In their bid to survive relegation this season, Ittihad Tanger can’t afford to drop points when they face off against Olympique Safi at the Stade El Massira on Saturday. The home team will be keen to bounce back from their recent home defeat when they face off against a dangerous Tanger side.

The Sharks bounced back from their recent woes with a victory over Youssoufia Berrechid away from home. Olympique Safi were aware that something had to change after their back-to-back losses against RSB Berkane and AS FAR Rabat, and the victory on the road was a perfect response to such terrible results. 

Olympique Safi have been unstable this season, with nine wins in their last twenty-six games. Olympique, who wrapped the previous campaign in the top four for the first time since 2019, picking up forty-seven points from a possible ninety, have had a poor season.

Olympique Safi will likely maintain their decent run on their ground, and a win here is possible if they take their chances.

Ittihad Tanger have been playing at the top of their game lately but haven’t been getting the results they deserve. Just like last season, where they fought tooth and nail to remain in the league, Ittihad Tanger are walking on the same path as they march here, intending to stay in the division. Ittihad Tanger moved to the 11th spot on the log, picking up twenty-eight points from a combined sixty-nine.

The Hercules have drawn five, won three, and lost five away from home this season. 

Over their previous seventeen meetings, Olympique Safi have won eight while Ittihad Tanger have recorded six wins and three games ending in a stalemate. Olympique Safi were unlucky not to have secured the maximum points in their most recent match at home as they failed to convert their chances as they were reduced against RSB Berkane. They quickly adjusted and got a deserved (0-1) win over relegation-threatened Youssoufa Berrechid away from home. At the same time, Ittihad Tanger defied all expectations by securing the maximum points at home against FUS Rabat. They have actually lost just once on the road in their last six matches and could have at least drawn the game they failed to win but missed from the spot-kick. This is a game that the hosts can’t afford to lose and we are not sure the visitors are ready to drop points as well.
