Morocco U23 vs Mali U23 Prediction: We expect an open encounter with goals in both halves

On Tuesday, the Young Atlas Lions will lock horns with Mali at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium. Morocco joined Egypt and Senegal with a 100% record this season.

The hosts have been fantastic in this tournament, having gone three games with three victories. The young Atlas Lions began the tournament with a great (2-1) victory over a strong Guinea side. The next game was followed by a (5-1) thrashing of Ghana. They secured the ticket to this round after a (0-1) win against Republic of Congo. Morocco's young side, which are dominated by foreign players, played their hearts out and are now the leading-scoring country.

Morocco have benefited from the home support but must be wary of the visitors.

Badra Alou Diallo's men kicked off this campaign with a (3-1) victory over 2011 champions Gabon. The second round ended in a (1-0) defeat against Egypt; however, Mali 23 picked themselves up when they scored twice against Niger U23.

Mali have garnered six points from a combined nine as they finished second on the log. They have scored five and lost twice since the competition started. It was an excellent start for a side mostly dominated by France-based players. Mali will be desperate to prove their worth against the young Atlas Lions, and we hope they'll give us a good game.

Mali won once and shared the spoils against Morocco in 2019. Morocco were wasteful against Congo and can’t afford that against this Malian side. Both sides have played great football in this tournament, but the host nation have the edge here. Morocco’s highest goal scorer Abde Ezzzouli will be motivated to be the top scorer, and we can see the Barcelona striker making his mark in this encounter. It’s a tough game; however, we expect to see more than two goals here for 2.71.

Mali are not tidy at the back, and we expect this Moroccan side to test their defence; bet on Morocco win and over 1.5 goals for 1.80.
