Monza vs Frosinone Calcio Prediction: Will the Whites and Reds start the season with a win?

The 2022/23 Serie A debutant Monza will play their opening game of the season on home soil against Frosinone in the round of 64 of the Italian Cup. Can the Bianconeri come away with the win? We have a few betting options to choose from.

Monza has several experienced players, with midfielders Gianluca Caprari and Matteo Pessina joining in the off-season, as well as goalkeeper Alessio Cragno, who joined the Bianconeri from relegated Serie B side Cagliari. Giovanni Stroppa will lead Monza in the critical season, leading his side to Serie A for the second time successively, an achievement he conquered two years earlier at the helm of Crotone.

Alessandro Nesta was head coach of Frosinone from 2019-2021. He was then replaced by Fabio Grosso, another legendary Italian defender. And before Nesta, Frosinone was led by Marco Baroni, also a defender.

Last season, the team finished 9th in the Serie B tournament and did not even make the extra playoffs.

Monza needs to win before the start of Serie A to give the team confidence and strength. And Giovanni Stroppa's side looks to have every chance of doing so. Frosinone isn't currently unbeaten against the Red and White, who have strengthened in the off-season.

Furthermore, it's worth considering betting on the total over. Giovanni Stroppa plays the attacking game. Crotone was like that, and Monza will undoubtedly be similar to them in the new season.
