MLS All Stars vs Arsenal Prediction: Expect an exchange of goals

The third opponent of London Arsenal in its pre-season preparation for the season will be a team of MLS clubs. Bookmakers are on the side of the English team in the pair.

Only in 2020 the MLS stars did not gather because of the pandemic, but once a year, they have a match against someone. For example, in 2021 and 2022, the opponent of the MLS stars were the stars of the Mexican league; before that, the Americans crossed with European clubs Chelsea, Roma, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus, Atletico, Tottenham, and the same London Arsenal. The match was played against Arsenal in 2016; the British won it 2:1.

Did you know that Arsenal currently have the most expensive squad in England? The cost of the London club's squad is roughly €1.21bn. Only in the current off-season the team has spent more than 200 million euros on transfers. At the same time, there are only three acquisitions so far: Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber. Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari have left the club. In July, Arsenal has already played two friendly matches, both ended in a 1:1 draw, first against Watford, then against Nurnberg. Notably, Arteta made 11 substitutions in the second half of the game against the Germans, and the team scored the only goal in the seventh minute.

Both teams like to exchange goals, and the upcoming match is essentially a show from which the spectators will expect a high-scoring game. We also expect a total over and exchange of goals, even though Arsenal will play only the third test match in the current off-season. But in general, we expect the Londoners to win; after all, it is difficult to compare the future rivals regarding chemistry.
