Maghreb Fes vs Wydad Casablanca Prediction: The Red Castle will get off to a flying start

On Friday, the Botola Pro League will kick off with Maghreb Fes hosting Wydad Casablanca at the Stade Hassan Stadium. The hosts had a terrible season, fighting their way to remain in the league, while the Red Castle finished below the top for the first time since 2014. This season promises to be another roller coaster, with Wydad tipped to return to glory.

Wydad Casablanca have had a total overhaul over the season, signing Rulani Mokwena from Mamelodi Sundowns. The management has backed the new coach and he’s acquired players they can quickly adjust to his style of play. 

Over their previous twenty meetings, Wydad Casablanca have won seven while Maghreb Fes have recorded three wins and ten games ending in a tie. Maghreb Fes are not at the same level as the guests as they have sold most of their top performers last campaign. The hosts have also acquired the services of more than ten players in this window and they’ll be keen to make the top four at least.

After their recent acquisition, Wydad Casablanca have been tipped to win the Botola Pro League this season. I think they have a very technical coach who would return the Red Castle to glory. Wydad will hope to make a huge statement in their opening game of the season, and we think theyll exert dominance over the hosts.
