Monza vs Inter Prediction: Will the Nerazzurri achieve a victory?

The match between Monza and Inter will close Saturday's program of the 17th round of the Italian championship. Will it be without surprises and the Nerazzurri will achieve a victory?

The team played their first match in Florence and again this season, showed quality soccer, and achieved a result. Fiorentina opened the scoring at the beginning of the first half, but not only did Monza not let the strong opponent develop the advantage, but they seized the initiative and scored the return goal in the 61st minute - Carlos Augusto scored (1:1). Monza strengthened their handicap from the relegation zone, which now stands at a respectable eight points.

In the previous round, the team took part in the central match - Inter hosted the championship leader Napoli on their field. Nerazzurri not only managed to take away points from the magnificent Neapolitans but did not allow them to show their best attacking qualities and achieve the final victory. Edin Dzeko scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute (1:0). Inter officially returned to the race for the Scudetto. Now the Black and Blue are only 8 points behind the first place.

Inter had a tough match against Napoli and will not be ready for the game against Monza in the best physical condition. So, it's unlikely that the Nerazzurri will win this game. There can be little doubt, however, that Simone Inzaghi's squad can score a goal or two, thanks to their quality of attacking players. Again, Monza will also answer with their own goals considering the opponent's fatigue, which means the total over in the upcoming game looks reasonably achievable.
