Milan vs Genoa: A third defeat in a row will be fatal for the Rossoneri

After three victories in a row (1-0 over Napoli, Empoli, and Cagliari), AC Milan have suffered two setbacks. In the last two rounds, the Rossoneri were held to 0-0 by a far from top-flight side Bologna and Torino. That certainly hurt their chances of landing the long-awaited Scudetto. Now, in the thirty-third round, the situation is as usual. AC Milan are in the lead with 68 points, Inter are second with 66.

Genoa have been struggling for survival all season long. In general, the Griffin can still save themselves. They are currently in 19th place in the standings with 22 points, three behind 17th-placed Cagliari. The day before last, Genoa broke their unbeaten streak of eight matches (seven draws and one win) with a 0-1 defeat at Verona. Last weekend, they were thrashed 1-4 by Lazio.

AC Milan have already been pushed to the limit by two successive point losses. Now, Inter, who have a match in hand, will be ahead of their neighbor if they win it. In any case, the Rossoneri still have every chance of triumph, but they simply have to beat an ordinary opponent like Genoa and even more so at the San Siro.
