Empoli vs Sampdoria Prediction: Who will be stronger?

Round 8 of the Italian championship will end on Monday with a match between Empoli and Sampdoria. Who will be stronger?

The team led by Paolo Zanetti this season does not claim relegation from Serie A. So, Empoli entered the new year with two away draws against teams higher in the standings. First, the Blues drew 1:1 with Udinese and then came back from 0:2 in Rome against Lazio (2:2). Empoli is now 13th in the league, having increased their handicap from the relegation zone to 10 points.

Genoa started the second part of the season with a crucial away win over Sassuolo (2:1) but then suffered two defeats. First, the team lost on the home field 0:2 to Napoli, the national championship leader, and last Thursday, Sampa dropped out of the Italian Cup. In Florence, the Genoese fell to local side Fiorentina 0:1. Sampdoria is 19th in the Serie A table, six points back from saving 17th place.

As Sampdoria's meetings with Napoli and Fiorentina have shown, the Genoa team has not solved their attacking problems. Sampa has huge problems not only with realization but also with creating chances. Empoli is not Sassuolo, whom Sampdoria managed to score two. This is a much more organized team, which, especially on its field, can break the attacking game much stronger than Sampdoria's opponents. The upcoming meeting will likely be a draw and will likely remain with Empoli, as they are simply the stronger team.
