Cremonese vs Empoli Prediction: Empoli is still the more reliable and stable team

Cremonese and Empoli meet in the opening match of Matchday 30 of the Italian championship. Check the team conditions and choose several betting options.

In the previous fixture, Cremonese hosted Sampdoria for their second win of the league season. They were 0:1 and 1:2 down but managed to get back into the game thanks to an 85th-minute goal from Luca Lochoschvili, and, at 90+5, Leonardo Cernicola secured the crucial three points. The result was also vital for the Red and Grey because it was a meeting with a direct survival rival. However, Cremonese is just 10 points adrift of 17th place. It is unlikely they will be able to claim that handicap in the remaining nine rounds before the end of the season.

The Blues are fairly comfortable in the standings, sitting in 14th place and 10 points ahead of the relegation zone. On the last matchday, they managed to level with defending champions AC Milan (0:0). Before that, Empoli beat Lecce 1:0 on home soil. The Blues seem to have regained stability. Recall that from February 25 to March 17, the team suffered four defeats in a row. However, given their place in the standings, even four points from six games are enough to prevent Empoli from relegation.

Under Davide Ballardini, Cremonese has undoubtedly made some progress, but Empoli is a more solid and stable side. Although the Blues have lost four of their last six league games, they have faced some very strong sides in this stretch, Atalanta, Napoli, and a surprising Monza in this league. In contrast, last week's meeting against AC Milan, where Empoli managed to pick up points, showed Paolo Zanetti's side has plenty of potential. It will therefore come as no surprise if the Blues not only score in Cremona but also beat Cremonese, who, once again, have lost 10 of their 14 games in the league this season.
