Harrogate Town begin their FA Cup campaign this Sunday as they look to reach the second round for the fifth successive year. They will face non-league Marine in their stage game. Last season, they thumped Marine 5-1 before they were presented with Bolton Wanderers in the second round. There, they lost once more with the same margin but this time in Lancashire.
Simon Weaver's team has not had the best of starts to their fifth League Two campaign, currently placed at 17th with 15 points from 14 matches. They have scored only 11 goals and thus have been poor on attack. Harrogate Town recently won 1-0 against Newport County and drew against Carlisle United but has suffered two consecutive 1-0 defeats against Port Vale and Notts County.
Before the big match on Sunday, they will be looking to end a losing streak and win themselves into the second round of the FA Cup.
Harrogate Town Predicted Lineup
Belshaw; Asare, O'Connor, Moon, Foulds; Taylor, Sutton, Cornelius, Dooley; Daly; Folarin
Wrexham form
It is going to be a tough task for them as they look forward to continuing their winning streak in the FA Cup against a team that has not lost in the last five matches. Wrexham has performed impressively in the FA Cup the last two seasons, having advanced to the fourth round in each of them. Although Wrexham suffered defeat to Stevenage at the weekend, they had otherwise been in good nick this season in the third tier of English football, three games into the top four and with 25 points from their first 13 games. They want a third consecutive season to go into the FA Cup second round. But they have a fight at Wetherby Road.
They would like to carry their winning form into the game against Mansfield Town.
Wrexham Starting XI
Okonkwo; Revan, O'Connell, Scarr, O'Connor, McClean; Lee, Rathbone, Cannon; Mullin, Palmer
Harrogate Town vs Wrexham Betting Expert Predictions
While Parkinson can continue to shuffle his players around, Wrexham should be able to overrun a faltering Harrogate Town side, who sit at a thin and threadbare team in every department of the park.
