Hearts of Lions vs Asante Kotoko Prediction: We anticipate a fair share of the spoils here

Hearts of Lions will kick off the second half of the season on their new ground with a new coach against Asante Kotoko at the Kpando Stadium on Saturday. The visitors have failed to invest during the winter as coach Prosper Ogun is satisfied with the current crop of players. At the same time, the hosts have recruited some players to help them secure a premiership stay.

After their poor start to the season, Hearts of Lions will be determined to survive relegation this season. The hosts have now gone three games without a defeat as they won against Berekum Chelsea and Dreams as well as setting for a tie against Medeama SC. 

Following their return to the Premier League after eight years in Division Two, Hearts of Lions have managed two wins in seventeen games. New coach Bashir Hayford inspired his team to a three-game unbeaten run. Hearts of Lions remain at the bottom of the log, having secured fifteen points from a combined fifty-one.

Prosper Ogun men are enjoying themselves again with a six-game unbeaten run. The former defending champions match here with three consecutive victories and, their most recent being against a tough Bofoakwa Tano side. They have also kept four clean sheets in the league and are now three points below the league leaders. 

The result means they have won five and drawn one in their last six games. Asante Kotoko moved to the 3rd spot on the log with just three points behind the league leaders. Asante Kotoko have won four, drawn twice, and lost three away from home this season.

Over their previous seven games, Hearts of Lions have won three while Asante Kotoko have managed two wins and two games ending in a tie. The visitors have been in massive form lately and have won five of their last six games. Asante Kotoko head here with a (0-1) victory over Gold Stars in the JAK Cup and are well well-motivated for this encounter. On the other hand, Hearts of Lions have been playing well lately and are unbeaten in their last three games against decent teams. They look like a well-drilled side under their new coach, and we expect them to take the game to the visitors. This is a tricky encounter; even though Asante Kotoko are playing a Hearts of Lions who occupy the last sit on the log, they can't be underestimated. It’s going to be an interesting encounter, and we think both sides will settle for a stalemate here for 2.89.
