Schalke vs Hertha Prediction: Don’t expect a lot of goals

The twenty-eighth round of the German football championship starts with a match between Schalke and Hertha. The two underdogs, teams from the bottom of the Bundesliga, will meet. Check the team conditions and choose several betting options.

After an away and unexpected win over Bochum, Schalke played four games in the national championship: draws against Dortmund and Augsburg and defeats to Bayer and Hoffenheim. Hertha has even worse recent statistics than Schalke. In their last five games in the Bundesliga, they suffered three defeats and two draws against Mainz and Freiburg. As a result, after 27 games, Hertha is 17th, only one point ahead of Schalke. The away statistics for Hertha are 18th in the league, +1=2-10, 12:29 goal difference. On average, the Berlin side is scoring less than a goal per away game.

On the one hand, the German Bundesliga is Europe's highest-scoring top league. On the other hand, the upcoming game is a battle of the underdogs, the teams with the weakest attacking lines in the Bundesliga as far as statistics are concerned - and that is especially true for Schalke, who have only scored 21 goals in 27 games. Let's not forget the price of points in a rival confrontation. We believe the match will not be rich in goals. As for the outcome, we wouldn't be surprised if the game ended in a draw.
