Augsburg vs Hoffenheim: Hoffe to start the season with an away win?

Augsburg's first opponent in the 2021-22 Bundesliga will be Hoffenheim, the club from Sinsheim, remembered for being unstable last season. Frankly, as the season progressed, Hoeness didn’t seem to be left to coach the team for the next. However, the club's managers decided otherwise. 

At the moment Augsburg has a transfer balance of €5 million. They sold Marco Richter and Kevin Danso, Rani Khedira and Marek Suchý left as free agents. They also signed Niklas Dorsch from Gent and loaned Arne Maier from Hertha. By the way, Augsburg is being coached by Markus Weinzierl, who previously worked at the Bavarian club and did a decent job. He was promoted to Schalke, only to get sacked there, and later at Stuttgart. Herr Markus returned to Augsburg at the end of April 2021, four games played under him, including the cup match against Greifswald. The team also managed to finish the last season in the elite, partly due to defeating Werder. Augsburg's main goal for the 2021-22 season is to keep their place in the elite. 

While Augsburg sold and signed some players, there were almost no transfers at Hoffenheim. David Raum, Angelo Stiller and Sebastian Rudy joined the club on a free transfer. A number of players were sent on loan. There are also some questions for Hoeness about the last season. The club leaders must have been impressed by the team’s final spurt, a seven-match unbeaten streak that, in fact, did not come to anything. Of course, Hoffenheim retained their place in the Bundesliga, but there was no talk of going in for European Cups. In the first round of the German Cup, Hoffenheim defeated Viktoria Koln 3-2 in extra time. Kramarić scored a double, and another one was kicked by Dabbur.

Augsburg: Gouweleeuw, Cordova, Oxford, Finnbogason, Hahn, Strobl are out of the game.

Hoffenheim: Adamyan, Bebou, Belfodil, Grillitsch, Kaderabek, Nordtveit, Samassekou are not playing. Bicakcic, Hubner are doubtful.

Well, let's believe the bookmakers and bet on the away team. It is too early to give up on Hoeness, but the club managers are unlikely to keep the coach if there's a failed start to the season. Weinzierl, on the other hand, is the case to do so - the only victory over Werder in three games last season hardly makes up for anything. There is no certainty that Augsburg could succeed with such a coach, so we suggest betting on the guests: Hoffenheim to win for 2.22, Individual Total 2 Over (1.5) for 1.86, Hoffenheim to Win + Both Teams To Score for 3.68.
