Augsburg vs Hertha Prediction: Will the game be decided by a single goal?

On Matchday 5 of the German championship, Augsburg will face Hertha Berlin. Both teams aren't in the best form, so it is unlikely that Sunday's game will be productive. We are looking forward to a points battle in which just one goal may decide the winner's fate.

In the first four rounds of the German championship, Augsburg secured three points in a match that no one expected the Bavarians to win. They beat the local side Bayer 2:1 in Leverkusen before losing 0:4 to Freiburg and then to Mainz and Hoffenheim. As a result, the Bavarians are three points clear at the start of the fifth round, 14th in the league table, and one point clear of the relegation zone on a goal difference of 3:8.

Augsburg has at least one win, while the capital team has managed just one draw in their opening four fixtures at home against Eintracht. In the first round, the Old Lady lost in the derby to Union before being eliminated in the German Cup by the second Bundesliga team. And in the third and fourth rounds, Hertha lost 0:1 to Gradbach and Dortmund with the same score. As a result, after four Bundesliga starts, Hertha has scored only twice, earning one point and sitting in the relegation zone.

Despite the Bundesliga being a very productive championship, we doubt Sunday's first encounter will be rich in goals. Augsburg scored three times in their opening four games, Hertha has delighted their fans with just two goals in the same period, and the Old Lady have not scored in their last two games. The first bet is a total under. As for the outcomes, we are expecting a hard-fought match in which the winner is likely to be decided by a single goal. We believe that the home side will be closer to victory.
