Generation Foot vs Teungueth Prediction: The Rufisque Derby will end in favour of the visitors

On Sunday, Generation Foot will lock horns against Teungueth at the Stade Lat Dior Stadium. The visitors will be keen to maintain their three games unbeaten run against their arch-rival in the Rufisque derby tomorrow. 

The hosts began their league campaign with a disappointing performance against ASC Jaraaf on the road. After eight minutes of play, Cheikh Camara opened the scoreline for Generation Foot; however, the hosts overturned the lead to secure a (2-1) victory over their guests. 

The home team who won the title in the 2023 season couldn’t maintain the momentum as they finished 11th on the log. Generation Foot sold most of their title-winning squad and replaced them with academy players. This was the reason why they managed just six wins across twenty-six matches. 

Generation Foot used to be a force in the division but struggled in the last campaign. Generation Foot have managed one win at home over their previous eight games. 

The Premier League champions kicked off their league journey with a (2-1) victory over newly promoted ASC HLM. Teungueth were made to labour after the guests levelled just before the break. Teungueth responded in the 85th minute to register their first win of the campaign. 

The visiting team secured another Premier League title, winning fourteen of their twenty-eight matches. Teungueth, who lost four matches in the entire campaign, were five points above Jaraaf, who ended their season in second place.

Teungueth kicked off the season with a (1-1) stalemate in both legs of their CAF Champions League. Unfortunately, they were eliminated by their Ivory Coast opponent. 

Teungueth have made some notable signings and they’ll be keen to defend their title as they won’t play continental football this season. 

Generation Foot have won six, while Teungueth have recorded seven victories and three games ending in a tie over their previous thirteen matches. The hosts, who almost relegated last season after their defeat at home against Teungueth, have a score to settle tomorrow. Even though they’ll rely on their youth players, Generation Foot will be hopeful of avoiding defeat on their home turf.

It’s too early to tell the quality of both teams; however, considering the fact that Teungueth have not lost against the hosts over their last meetings, it means they are the favourite here; we anticipate a win or draw and under 2.5 goals for the guests.
