Troyes AC vs Rennais Prediction: Will the Bretons be able to pick up their 3rd win?

Rennais is unbeaten in their last five head-to-head encounters, and the Breton side is once again regarded as favorites to win their third league title. Will they be able to pick up their third win of the season?

After five rounds, Troyes is arguably the most controversial club in Ligue 1. In the last round, they suffered two heavy defeats and had a sensational away win over Monaco (4:2). Mama Balde was the game's main hero. He scored a goal and an assist. Andreas Bruus, Abdu Conte, and Karim Azamoum were absent against Monegasque, and all three were unlikely to play against Rennais. However, there are others to replace them. Troyes was active before the transfer window closed and signed five newcomers - Amar Ahmed, Mateus Lucien Agoumé, Mateusz Lis, Marlos Moreno, and Ante Palaversa.

Bretons, like Troyes, have been active in the transfer market, and there have been several changes in late summer and early autumn. The club exchanged Gaetan Laborde for the younger Amine Gouiri and signed Christopher Wu, letting Loïc Bade go to Nottingham Forest. The team beat Brest with a score of 3:1 in the middle of the week. Back in the 1st half, they missed an excellent chance to score, but after the break, their performance looked solid. The team made very few severe errors in defense.

Rennais is playing quite dull this season, although their performance has been excellent. The Bretons have started to create more chances, and they had a good opportunity to dry Brest in the last round. Troyes is on the back of a winning streak, but they suffered three defeats recently, so any stability is out of the question.
