Strasbourg vs Le Havre FC Prediction: A bore draw likely.

Strasbourg and Le Havre are both doing very poorly despite being separated by 5 places on the Ligue 1 table. There will be little expectations placed on both teams but hopefully one team can turn up and get a win.

     Strasbourg have failed to win a single game in their last 8 matches played. And they are coming off a 2:1 defeat against Stade Reims last weekend. A win against Metz FC would mean the whole world to a struggling Strasbourg team but they would have to really deserve it.

        For Le Havre FC, it's a similar experience just as the goats. They won only 1 of their last 8 matches in the league. They are coming off a 2:0 defeat against PSG in the last round and a win would be a good response for this team.

It's come as a surprise that Strasbourg have not dropped into the relegation zone already after consistent poor results. They are currently only 3 points from the relegation zone, as they currently occupy 15th spot on the Ligue 1 table.

     Strasbourg's stats can't even get worse than this, as they are without a win in 8 straight games. In the league, they lost 4 and drew 3 of their last 7 matches. And their most recent game against Stade Reims ended in a 2:1 defeat. The game was already over in the first half, after Strasbourg conceded twice. But Kevin Gameiro gave them some comfort as he pulled one goal back from the penalty spot in the 88th minute. The stats of the game also clearly showed, Strasbourg were second best.

      Now Strasbourg will turn their attention to Le Havre who are also in a bit of a crisis at the moment, in a bid to steal a crucial win. The last time Strasbourg and Le Havre faced each other was in 2017 and Strasbourg won the game 2:0.

         At the moment, Strasbourg are 15th on the league table, with 13 points from 13 matches. They won 3, drew 4 and lost 6 matches so far this season.

Le Havre will fancy their chances against a bottom table team despite being in crisis themselves. Wins have been scarce for this team, but they do know how to grind out a draw. In their last games, they drew twice; both scoreless against AS Monaco and Nantes, before losing their last game against PSG.

       Against PSG, they had the opportunity to prove their credentials after Gianluigi Donnarumma was sent off in the 10th minute. But their quality failed them against a very structured PSG team, as they went on to concede 2 goals in both halves. PSG went on to win the game 2:0 at full time.

      Le Havre are a mid table team for a reason and coming up against Strasbourg at the bottom might give them the opportunity to finally get some important points. At the moment, they are 10th on the table with 16 points from 14 league games. They have won 3 games, drawn 7 and lost 4.

        Last time Le Havre beat Strasbourg was back in 2009. Since then, they have lost 2 games and drawn 1 against Strasbourg.

Strasbourg and Le Havre have played 12 matches against each other in total. Both clubs won 4 of the 12 matches and played a draw 4 times.

For some reason, I am actually backing Le Havre to earn at least a draw against Strasbourg. They might not have the results behind them, but they can frustrate teams with their tight structure.

Also, there should be a very limited amount of goals between these two teams. 9 of their last 10 league matches ended with less than 2.5 goals
