Monaco vs Lens Prediction: Another Spectacular Match Between the Clubs

Monaco started the season quite well in Ligue 1. In the first round, the team managed to beat Strasbourg 2:1 away, and in the second round at home, they sealed a draw with Rennes (1:1), although they were ten men from the 15th minute. Also, the Monegasques dropped out of the Champions League qualification, having lost to PSV. The first meeting ended in a tie (1:1); in return, Monaco lost extra time (2:3).

Lens also got off to a similar start in the new season - one win and one draw. In the first round, Franck Haise's charges beat Brestois 3:2 at home - Florian Sotoca netted a hat-trick. The end of the meeting was nervous, but the Blood and Golds played great in defense. In the second round, Lens had an away match against league newcomer Ajaccio (0:0). 

Analysts consider Monaco the favorite, but Lens definitely can't be ignored. The Golden could easily take points away from the Monegasque side. Note that full-time meetings between these opponents twice this year impressed us with plenty of goals. Firstly Monaco won 4:2, and then the opponents ended up in a tie (2:2). We think we will have another entertaining match with plenty of goals scored. Prediction: a total over (2.5).
