Clermont vs Lille Prediction: Clermont looking to move up against an in-form Lille

Clermont and Lille will play each other on Wednesday at Stade Gabriel Montpied as the Ligue 1 season gets back underway for both teams.

Clermont is back in action this week with 19 points so far, six more than they had after 15 games a season ago. This season, they have won three of their five games at Stade Gabriel Montpied, although they have struggled defensively, conceding more goals at home than any other Ligue 1 team. They are currently 10th in the table.

Lille have put themselves in hunt for a European spot next season after a poor 2021-22 campaign. They are now 7th in the standings and are only 4 points away from a champions league spot.
