Zimbabwe vs Lesotho Prediction: Both nations eye first win in this qualifier

Undefeated Zimbabwe and Lesotho's first win in this World Cup qualifier in Group C at Orlando Stadium. Occupying the last two spots, both teams will eye a win here. How will this encounter unfold?

The Zimbabwe side has struggled for years, and they will come here hoping for a win. In their last matches, this team has yet to secure a win, and they will hope for luck against a similar struggling side. Last time out, the Zimbabwe team took on Kenya, and despite taking the lead in the 4th minute of the game through an own goal, they ended up losing 1-3. 

However, this team has done well in their World Cup qualifying campaign, holding Nigeria and Rwanda to draws. Regardless, this team heads into this encounter winless in as many as seven matches at regular time. 

Lesotho will eye their first win in this World Cup qualifier following a draw with Nigeria and Benin in their first two games. However, a look at this team’s recent matches shows they have just one win in as many as ten games, being a 1-2 win over Ethiopia. In other encounters, however, Lesotho lost to Zambia, Ivory Coast, and Mozambique. Despite those poor performances, this team picked draws against Namibia and South Africa in games that ended 1-1 and 0-0, respectively.

Zimbabwe has a good squad, but this team has not turned up well lately. While Lesotho has proven stubborn and challenging with the way they have played in this qualifier, we can expect more from them here.
