Mauritania vs Senegal Prediction: Lions of Teranga remain undeniable favorites

Stade de la Capitale will host the World Cup qualifying encounter between Mauritania and Senegal. In their last meeting, Senegal were victorious at home. How will this game end?

Mauritania's last game was against Sudan, and this team ended on the losing end in a 0-2 home loss. However, this team has now struggled to secure a win in any of their last matches, losing to Cape Verde and Mali while picking a draw in their encounter against Morocco. However, the World Cup qualifying campaign has seen this team occupy the last spot with just one point accumulated from three matches. 

Senegal will look to bounce back to winning ways, having been held to a draw by D.R Congo last time out. In that encounter, Ismaila Sarr's goal in the last minute of halftime gave this team the lead, and it was not until the 85th minute that Fiston Mayele leveled the scores for the visiting team. However, since being eliminated in the AFCON playoffs by Ivory Coast, Senegal has won two and drawn one of their encounters. In Group B of the World Cup qualifier, Senegal are seated 2nd spot with 5 points, scoring 5 goals and conceding 1. 

Being on the road should not be a problem for Senegal in this game. In Group B, Mauritania are the weakest team, and I do not see them being a tough side to break in defense. With the host attack not working, a bet on a 0-2 win for Senegal is worth taking a chance on.
