Algeria vs Guinea Prediction: Guinea have been incredible

Algeria are coming off a 3-3 draw with South Africa in a friendly encounter. In that game, Yassine Benzia was on target twice for this Algeria side, while Yacine Brahimi also hit the back of the net. In the meantime, the Algeria side has gone on to win one, lost one and drew three of their last five matches. 

However, this team played two matches in this World Cup qualifier, and they were brilliant as they defeated Somalia 3-1, while they got a 0-2 win over Mozambique on the road. In the standings of Group G of this qualifier, Algeria are seated 1st, three points above their close rivals.

Guinea are off the back of wins in their last friendly matches, defeating Vanuatu and Bermuda. In those matches, this team scored 11 goals while conceding just one. In the meantime, a look at Guinea’s last five matches saw them lose to D.R Congo and Senegal, while they secured a 0-1 win over Equatorial Guinea in the AFCON playoff. 

In their World Cup qualifier campaign, Guinea picked a win over Uganda, while they lost to Botswana. This side scored two goals and two conceded in those matches, leaving them third in the standings, with the same points as Botswana, Uganda and Mozambique. 

Guinea have been a tough side, and their AFCON performance was good. No doubt, Algeria have one of the best sides in Africa, but this team has not gelled well over the years. Regardless, the two sides are expected to have their chances, and looking at the fact that the defenses of the two sides have struggled lately, I am backing this one to end with goals. Also, while Algeria are at home here and has been unarguably the better side in their group, I am backing them to win here.
