Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace Prediction: the Citizens to Fight the Eagles

In the last round, Newcastle's five-match unbeaten streak came to an end. It was an away game against Liverpool and the club showed very good soccer. The team had every chance to take a point but Carvalho converted his chance on 90+8 minutes and left the Magpies with nothing. The result was a 1:2 defeat for Newcastle. The Citizens have a lot of problems in the standings. According to the results of five rounds, they are 12th and have only six points, three points behind fifth-placed Manchester United.

Crystal Palace have demonstrated great results, that of a strong average squad. In five rounds, the Eagles have confidently outplayed Aston Villa 3:1, twice drew with Liverpool and Brentford (1:1 each), and suffered two defeats, 2:6 on aggregate. On this basis, Crystal Palace have five points settling for 13th place in the EPL standings. 

Analysts have preferred the first team, and we fully agree. Newcastle has shown an excellent game lately. Plus, in the upcoming match, they will play at home, supported by the fans. Crystal Palace will show their spirit, but, in our opinion, it will not be enough to win. Overall, we believe the home side will gain at least one point. Prediction: Newcastle will not lose + total under (3.5).
