Manchester City vs Chelsea Prediction: Will the London club be able to cause problems for Pep Guardiola's side?

Manchester City will face Chelsea from London in round 37 of the English Championship at home. If they win, they will defend their Premier League title. The Citizens are 11 meetings unbeaten and are the clear favourites. Will the London club be able to cause problems for Pep Guardiola's side?

Everton was Manchester City's last opponent in the EPL. Ilkay Gündogan was excellent in his second successive game in the tournament, scoring a double. Erling Holland scored another goal in the current campaign in a confident 3:0 win at Goodison Park. Man City leads the EPL table with 85 points and are four points ahead of Arsenal. In midweek, the Citizens played their Champions League semi-final return leg against Real Madrid. Manchester City left no chance for the royal club and scored four unanswered goals.

On Matchday 35 of the English Premier League, Chelsea met Bournemouth on the road for their first win since Lampard's return to the bench, 3:1. Next, the team returned to their home ground to take on Nottingham Forest. The Londoners failed to hold on to their lead over the underdogs (2:2). Chelsea sits 11th in the EPL table with 43 points.

Manchester City focuses on winning three trophies this season - the EPL, the FA Cup, and the Champions League. The team can win their first trophy as early as this weekend, and they need to beat Chelsea. Man City has been in terrific form in the second half of the season, and the visitors are unlikely to break their streak, as the Aristocrats have failed to hit the Citizens' goal in the last five fixtures. We expect a solid performance from the home side and a win with a handicap.
